Rich Corinthian Leather

Today Emilio had his first taste of formula since we left the hospital. He seemed to tolerate it fine, but at his next feeding (which I gave him on the couch you see in the photo), he spit everything up. It soaked through my jeans and my long underwear and even stained the orange boxer shorts I was wearing. It also got down into the seam between the cushions of the couch, but I think I was able to clean it all up (it appears that we were wise to get a leather couch and love seat). Emilio didn't cry, but he got hungry a little later and Maria Jose fed him the rest of his bottle. He's sleeping now--snoring a little bit, actually--in his car seat (which keeps him upright). When he cries, I can sometimes get him back to sleep by placing him on my chest--as in this photo, which Maria Jose took today before I left to work on the syllabus I will give to my students on their first day of class tomorrow.
