Wintersmith Adventures
The photos above accurately represent the good time we had today at Wintersmith, but the story they don't tell is how Nina was bitten by a goose. All of the photos above--except for the first--were taken after the attack, which was not serious enough to keep us from continuing our Wintersmith Loop. But Nina has a bruise on the back of her leg that looks like a pinch. With its neck stretched out, her assailant was as tall as Nina, and though Nina wasn't antagonizing the creature in any way, she and Pablo were ahead of the rest of us and vulnerable to a feathery verison of knockout. To her credit, Nina soon got over it, but my love of the animal kingdom was not enhanced. I am almost tempted to let Nina get her first taste of foie gras this weekend.
Nina also lost a tooth last night!
