Coach Wes coaches a U-9 team, a U-10 team, and a U-12 team. When he needs players, he lets the U-10s play down, and he lets the U-9s, and the U-10s play up. Saturday, the U-9s had a home game at 10, the U-12 had a home game at 11:30, and the U-10s had an away game in Atoka. On Friday, Nina thought she would want to sleep in on Saturday morning, so we decided to wait until Saturday to decide whether or not she would play in the U-9 game. When she got up Saturday morning, though, she was ready to go. Since Emilio had a basketball game at 11:30, we agreed that she would play in the 10:00 game, watch Emilio's 11:30 game, and then ride 45 minutes to Atoka with Coach Wes's family for the 3:30 game, and I would drive down there to meet them as soon as Emilio's 1:30 soccer game in Ada was over. BUT after her 10:00 game, Nina said she also wanted to play in the U-12 game, and coach Wes said he could use the players, so we agreed.
And that's how Nina played a triple-header on Saturday.
In the U-9 game, Nina's teammates wore pink jerseys and Nina wore a red pinnie.
I got to Nina's 3:30 game in Atoka shortly after kickoff. Nina started at forward.

We went up 1-0, but were down 1-3 at halftime. Then Coach Wes gave an inspirational half-time speech: if we win the second half, I'm buying Dairy Queen Ice cream for everyone!

Afterwards, Nina and I had supper at El Adobe, and Nina slept in the car on the drive back to Ada.
