Dolly Madison and a Thoroughbred.
What you need to know:
A show needs to be put on in order for somebody to remain solvent (I'm not sure who). Horses wearing fake antlers play reindeer. One of the reindeer, Pablo, expresses amazement that people chop down trees and put them in their living rooms during Christmas. For the show to sell, they need a headliner. Fortunately, Dolly Madison is back in town, and she's available. She tells the players that if they want to be successful, they have to "lay it on the line." They sing together. Santa is recruited to join the show. It's a success!
Pablo is a thoroughbred.
"We're not reindeer."
"Why, hello, boys. Dolly's back in town."
Nina's solo: "Lay it on the line."
Pablo takes a bow.
